Cookie policy

This page describes which cookies ravnsec.com uses and why — and how you control them yourself.
RAVN Security is a trading name of JBANORDIC (org. no. 199312274658), which is responsible for the processing described here.
What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files that websites store in your browser. They can be needed for features to work, used to remember settings — or used to profile visitors. Under the Swedish Electronic Communications Act (2022:482) and the GDPR, your consent is required for any cookie that is not strictly necessary for the service or that you have not requested yourself.
How we use cookies
Beyond the strictly necessary cookies that are always on, we split cookies into three categories: necessary, analytics and marketing. Necessary cookies are always on and need no consent. Analytics and marketing cookies are off by default — we only set them once you actively accept in the banner, and you can change your choice at any time via "Manage cookies" at the bottom of the page.
| Name | Purpose | Type | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| sb-* | Keeps administrators signed in to our internal admin console. Only set at login — never for regular visitors. | Strictly necessary | Until you sign out or the session expires |
Measurement without cookies
We measure how many people visit the site and which pages are read. This happens without cookies and without storing any identifier in your browser — the statistics are aggregated and cannot be traced back to you, between pages or between visits. That is why it falls outside the consent requirement, and why there is no banner to dismiss. If you would rather not be counted, most ad blockers block it. What is recorded, and on what legal basis, is set out in our privacy policy.
This measurement is separate from the analytics and marketing cookies described above. It needs no consent and continues regardless of what you choose in the cookie banner.
Managing cookies yourself
You can always block or delete cookies in your browser settings (Chrome, Safari, Firefox, Edge and others). Blocking all cookies does not affect the site's core functions — the only things that stop working are the administrator login and remembering your choice in the cookie banner, so the banner reappears on your next visit.
The quickest way to change your mind is the "Manage cookies" link in the footer, which reopens this choice at any time. Blocking cookies in your browser still works as an alternative.
If anything changes
We previously said we would introduce a consent banner before ever setting cookies that require consent. This is that banner: we now use Google Analytics and Google Ads tracking, and both categories are off until you say yes. If that changes again, we will update this policy the same way, with the same advance notice.
