This page describes which cookies ravnsec.com uses and why — and how you control them yourself.

Cookies are small text files that websites store in your browser. They can be needed for features to work, used to remember settings — or used to profile visitors. Under the Swedish Electronic Communications Act (2022:482) and the GDPR, your consent is required for any cookie that is not strictly necessary for the service or that you have not requested yourself.
Beyond the strictly necessary cookies that are always on, we split cookies into three categories: necessary, analytics and marketing. Necessary cookies are always on and need no consent. Analytics and marketing cookies are off by default — we only set them once you actively accept in the banner, and you can change your choice at any time via "Manage cookies" at the bottom of the page.

Usage analytics is disabled until you actively allow the Analytics category. PostHog uses a random identity in browser local storage. Analytics identities are separate for each product.
Declining stops new analytics events and resets the local analytics identity. You can change your choice through Manage cookies in the footer. The previous automatic cookie-free visitor measurement is disabled.
You can always block or delete cookies in your browser settings (Chrome, Safari, Firefox, Edge and others). Blocking all cookies does not affect the site's core functions — the only things that stop working are the administrator login and remembering your choice in the cookie banner, so the banner reappears on your next visit.
The quickest way to change your mind is the "Manage cookies" link in the footer, which reopens this choice at any time. Blocking cookies in your browser still works as an alternative.
If we change the data we measure or introduce a new analytics provider, we will update this policy and request fresh consent before the new collection begins.
With your active consent, we send explicitly defined events to PostHog in the EU: named screens and actions, product, platform, environment, app version and language. A random local identifier is separate for each product, without names or account identification.
We do not send contact details, form or search text, AI conversations, customer security information or URLs containing tokens. Autocapture and screen recording are disabled. PostHog discards client IP data.
You may decline or withdraw consent in Analytics settings. Withdrawal stops new collection and resets the local analytics identity; it does not automatically delete earlier events. Contact hi@ravnsec.com for privacy or deletion requests. Collection may stop when the free usage limit is reached.
